Blue Grass at Park Theater

Another Night at the Park Theater. This time we listened to a Blue Grass Band. We are glad to have such an interesting place in Holland.

We tried a new Restaurant. Phil's Bar and Grill is a nice place, but you have to have patience because it ti popular and the wait might be long.

Movie Night in Allegan

This wasn't a movie night, but a movie afternoon in the old style Theater in Allegan - our favorite place. The Black Panther is a great movie all around

The lost date

We have no pictures of this date. We took the ones below from the Internet. :-) On this Saturday morning, Sue and I went to Chicago for a dinner with more than 100 Chinese born citizen. they all were students (and their spouses) that started college in 1977. This was the first year after the cultural revolution when University started teaching again.

It is kind of crazy to drive to Chicago for a 3-hour dinner meeting and drive back. But this is what we do! If you want to do something, ... you do it. Another interesting fact was that Bert was the only white caucasian that did not speak Chinese and there were lots of speeches. One other caucasian husband chose to just stay in the car and take a nap.

Dinner at Salt of the Earth

Sometimes taking just a little time off can make a big difference. We stayed at the Lake House and wanted to go out. Allegan does not have much to offer but there is a great place in Fennville. Salt of the Earth is a little gem in this little town. they have a small but very good and interesting menu. at times they have local artists and bands performing in a room next tot he restaurant.
